Abstract

The farmer, who was using a smart phone with internet facilities and engaged in agricultural operations, was selected as a respondent. The total sample size is 135 farmers. The 'ex-post-facto research design' was used for the study. A well-structured interview schedule designed for the study was used for collecting the data from respondents through the personal interview method. The data collected from the respondents was edited, tabulated, and analyzed using suitable statistical tools like Pearson's coefficient of correlation. The study noticed a certain relationship between profile characteristics of farmers and overall utilization of digital technology tools. It was stated that all respondents had medium level relationship with independent variables except land holdings, annual income and scientific orientation. It shows a non-significant relationship with overall utilization of digital technology tools by farmers. It can be revealed that independent variables like education, possession of digital technology tools, training undergone, extension contact, innovativeness, economic orientation, and awareness had a positive and highly significant relationship with the overall utilization of digital technology tools by farmers. While risk orientation had a positive and significant relationship with the overall utilization of digital technology tools by the farmers, while independent variables like age and farming experience had a negative and highly significant relationship with the overall utilization of digital technology tools by the farmers, independent variables like annual income and scientific orientation had a positive and non-significant relationship with the overall utilization of digital technology tools by the farmers, While independent variables like land holding had a negative and non-significant relationship with the overall utilization of digital technology tools by the farmers.
