Award will be awarded to any Life Member having a 20-year exceptional contribution, commitment to academics and research, administration, for continued energy, persistence, and dedication to inclusiveness of scientific thought through participation and leadership in the field of extension science. This Award carries a certificate, a plaque and a citation etc.
This award will be awarded to any Life Member with two years’ experience as a Professor or Principal Scientist fulfilling following criteria. The candidates may be recommended by any two Life Members of the Society. This Award carries a certificate, a plaque and a citation etc.
Education: Establishment/improvement of Extension Education in India to be judged on the basis of the establishment of a new Extension Education Institution or design of new courses & contents or guidance to Ph.D. and Masters students leading to recognition of students' thesis at Society organized Congress in National and International level.
Research: Pioneering research contribution that led to greater recognition of Extension Education Profession to be judged on the basis of the research publications in IRJEE, recognitions of research by national/international bodies, evidence of adoption of research outcome by stakeholders including farmers, recognition of technology developed by national/international bodies.
Field/Extension: Pioneering efforts in field applications of agriculture and allied technologies leading to mass adoption to be judged on the basis of supporting evidence of introduction of product or process with large scale adoption.
Industry: Corporate Member with pioneering efforts in establishment of industry in any recognized field of extension education that led to large scale employment of agriculture and allied technocrats and making available quality commercial product of international standards to Indian farmers/consumers. Annual domestic sale and export record. Industry should be at least 15 year old and should have been recognized by central/state Government and evidence of consumer acceptance for its quality product and services to farmers.
This award has been subsumed in the memory of a towering erudite academician, scientist and research manager in extension education. Dr. C Prasad who has lived his entire life for upholding the portrait of Extension Science. The award will be conferred upon the eminent and scholarly academician or scientist in the field of Extension Science for the phenomenal contribution to promote Extension Science Nationally and Internationally. This will be awarded to any Life Member having a 15-year exceptional contribution, commitment to academics and research, administration, for continued energy, persistence, and dedication to inclusiveness of scientific thought through participation and leadership in the field of extension science. This Award carries a certificate, a plaque and a citation etc.

The award will be conferred upon eminent Agricultural Scientists for their outstanding contribution to the promotion of extension science in the country. This Award will be presented to an Eminent Scientist, Academician or Researcher above 45 years of age at the time of application for his/her prodigious contribution to the development of the Scheduled Tribe population at the National or International level through Extension Advisory Services (EAS). The Best Extension Researcher Award is instituted to recognize and honour outstanding contributions in the field of Extension Education through innovative, impactful, and scientifically rigorous research. The award aims to encourage excellence in generating, validating, and disseminating knowledge that enhances participatory approaches, technology adoption, and sustainable rural development. The award is open all Researcher, who, actively engaged in Extension Education or allied social science disciplines (Agricultural Extension, Fisheries Extension, Veterinary Extension, Home Science Extension, etc.).
This award goes to PG & Ph D Scholar in Agricultural scholar for their research work and publication.

Dear research scholars, wet he Society of Extension Education Agra are delighted to announce the “National Award for Best Master’s and Doctoral Thesis in Extension Education” to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions to the field of Extension Education. This initiative aims to encourage and honor exceptional research conducted by Master’s and Doctoral students, nurturing innovation, and excellence within the academic community.

Primary principle |
The award will be purely based on the principle of meritocracy which ensures that the awards are earned through legitimate accomplishment, promoting a fair and transparent evaluation process that upholds excellence, intelligence, and integrity.

Objectives |
The award is conceptualized with following objectives: i. To recognize excellence by acknowledging and honoring Master’s and Doctoral theses that demonstrate excellence in research, methodology, and contribution to Extension Education. ii. To promote innovation by encouraging innovative thinking and research approaches that address current challenges and contribute to the advancement of Extension Education. iii. To foster academic excellence by recognizing and promoting the importance of rigorous and high-quality research in the field of Extension Education.

Nature of Award and Categories |
The awards will be of national level and under two categories i. National Award for Best Master’s Thesis in Extension Education. ii. National Award for Best Doctoral Thesis in Extension Education

5 |
Eligibility Criteria |
i. Open to Master’s and Doctoral thesis completed in the field of Extension Education (Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Community science and Fisheries). ii. Thesis should have been completed within the specified time frame (January 2025 to December 2025) iii. Submission of required documents (Grade sheet of Master/ Doctoral degree, published paper on the thesis, IPR certificate-if any), including the executive summary of thesis on the basis of the following criteria) and a letter of recommendation from the Supervisor/ Guide forwarded by head of the department.

Evaluation Criteria |
The evaluation process will consider the following nine-point criteria: i. Problem statement: a. Clarity and significance of the research problem. b. Novelty, originality, and innovativeness of the research problem. c. Problem statement backed by rigorous and recent literature review. ii. Research objectives/ hypotheses: a. Well-defined and achievable research objectives/ hypotheses. b. Relevancy of the objectives/ hypotheses to the problem statement. iii. Methodology: a. Appropriateness and rigor of the research design. b. Effectiveness of the selected research methods. c. Innovative tools and techniques of data collection, analysis and visualization. iv. Significant/ key Findings: a. Clarity and significance of key findings. b. Discussion and interpretation of the findings. c. Presentation of results in a meaningful and organized manner. d. Clearly specified limitations and future thrust. v. Intellectual Outputs a. Any model/framework/psychometric scale/ composite index /methodology/ decision making tool/ evaluation tool / Mobile aplication/ software/ copyright/ patent etc. developed as a part of your thesis work only. vi. Contribution to Extension Education: a. Relevance and potential impact on the field of extension education. b. Innovative approaches or solutions proposed. c. Theoretical/ managerial/ policy implications. vii. Publications a. Research article published in above 5 NAAS rated journals and in IRJEE. b. Popular articles and other. c. Oral /poster presentations in conferences d. Best oral/ poster presentation award / presented/awarded.

Procedure |
The award process will follow the procedure given below. Announcement: The call for the award(s) will be notified by the Society of Extension Education, Agra during the month of January every year on its official website and other channels. Application Submission: The candidate shall apply for the said award in the online form given in the website of Society of Extension Education, Agra (No other mode of submission will be accepted) within the specified dates. Preliminary Evaluation: An award convening committee (ACC) constituted by the Society of Extension Education Agra will conduct a preliminary evaluation based on the provided criteria to shortlist the desired candidates for second round of evaluation. External Review: the shortlisted theses will be reviewed by external experts for an unbiased assessment of the shortlisted theses. Committee Meeting: The award convening committee will conduct a discussion to finalize and recommend the best ten theses each among shortlisted theses for final evaluation. Final Evaluation: The ten theses will be called for a ten-minute online presentation in front of an expert committee to present and defend their thesis. Selection of Awardees: Top three Master’s and Doctoral theses based on final score will be awarded. Award Ceremony: A formal award ceremony (online/offline) will be conducted to recognize and present awards to the winners. Disclaimer: The Society of Extension Education, Agra retains the right to choose not to recommend the thesis for any specific year. Any sort of correspondence will not be entertained.
