Farmers are the backbone of our country’s economy and to support them central government launches PM-KISAN scheme. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is an income support scheme, which was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24th February, 2019 from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This scheme is 100 per cent funded by Central Government and provides 6000rs./year as minimum income support to eligible farmers and farmer families. The attitude of farmers towards this scheme plays very important role for its better implication and future. The purpose of this study is to assess the attitude level of farmers towards PM-KISAN scheme. Research was carried out during year 2022-2023 in Udaipur district of Rajasthan. For this purpose, two tehsils of Udaipur namely Mavli and Salumber were selected and from this tehsil 120 beneficiary farmers were randomly selected (60 beneficiaries from each tehsil). Attitude of beneficiaries was measured in ‘Agree’, ‘Undecided’ and ‘Disagree’ category. Data was collected through a pre-tested interview schedule and personal interview with farmers in the region. The study revealed that majority of respondents i.e., 70.00 per cent of the farmers had medium level of attitude, followed by low level (20.00 %) and high level (10.00%) of attitude about PM-KISAN Scheme.
